When u get a tubal ligation do they test for pregnancy first?i ?

i am going in for a consult on monday. my husband and i have been separated for a couple of months and although he had a vasectomy, i have been having pregnancy symptoms since a couple of weeks after he left. I am really starting to think i am pregnant (which would suck). So i was thinking about waiting to test at the dr.'s on monday and working from there. Do u know if they test before tubals?
