Does the PETA take it to far?

I love animals and Its really awfull when they are mistreated . But I just tought that it was really dumb actions of the PETA when I heard the John Biden story that he bought a breeded dog. The breeder received death threats and was scorn for selling the dog. They dont want a animal to die but a person sure its fine! What do you think do they over do it?
