Your period should stop soon. 2 to 8 days is normal. And you can wear a tampon even if you are a virgin. You don't need the break the "skin down there" (the hymen), because it already has a hole in it that the tampon is small enough to fit through. The way we know this is that you have had blood come out. If you didn't have a hole in the hymen, then blood wouldn't come out.
